The ‘trunk’ of the Manitoba Forestry Association’s Setting Down New Roots Program is its annual fundraiser of seedling & potted trees sales. Seedlings may be purchased and planted for numerous purposes including shelter, wildlife enhancement, aesthetic values, landscaping or for Christmas trees.

Thursday, May 11th – 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Friday, May 12th – 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, May 13th – 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Distribution Location – Birds Hill Tree Nursery
As you travel north on Hwy #59, drive 6.2 km past the west entrance to Birds Hill Provincial Park and turn right on Ashfield Road. At the fork in the road, keep right on Roscoe Road and continue 3 km. Turn right at the Bird Hill Tree Nursery gates.
This seedling and tree sales fundraiser has been in existence since 2000. The monies generated through sales are used to support the Manitoba Forestry Association & our educational programming.
The majority of the seedlings are grown at the Pineland Forest Nursery in Hadashville, Manitoba. For more information on how the seedlings are grown, please visit the Pineland website at www.pinelandforestnursery.com.
