A Nature Manitoba Discovery Evening
Presenter: Gordon Goldsborough, Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, University of Manitoba
The presentation will review the work we are doing to restore vegetation in these two large Manitoba marshes. At Delta Marsh, the restoration involves the exclusion of Common Carp, a destructive invasive fish species. At Netley-Libau Marsh, restoration involves the creation of shallow-water conditions necessary for reestablishment of emergent plants.
